Hi everyone, we are pleased to announce the public release of the latest updates: Campaign Series: Vietnam v2.00.03 and Campaign Series: Middle East Version v3.00.03.
These updates follow an event-free Public Beta period with versions 2.00.02 and 3.00.02.
What is new?
These updates are aimed at resolving the ‘white screen’ issues reported by a few players. The problem was likely triggered by a Windows update and resolved by downloading the latest NVIDIA drivers from their official site. However, we’ve also added a code segment to further mitigate any potential issues.
Enhancements
- Added a code segment to resolve an issue where some users encounter a “white screen” map in game dialogs. The issue is related to Intel drivers in hybrid systems (typically Nvidia + Intel), mostly affecting laptops. The new code now forces the use of AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards by default, unless the users choose otherwise. Note: due to unique system configurations, this solution may not cover all cases.
- The game launcher now starts both the Scenario Editor and Organizations Editor in non-encrypted mode (using the command line parameter -X) to support editing user-created content.
Fixes
- Corrected several 2D terrain map images that had incorrect colours.
- Fixed a bug that could cause a crash to desktop when an aloft enemy air unit was present at the target hex during certain Assault combat results.
- Fixed the CanAscend() check so that passenger Action Points no longer affect the outcome.
Installation
IMPORTANT NOTE: before installing any new updates, please ensure that all game modifications are disabled using the JSGME tool, if you had previously enabled any of them.
The easiest way to apply the updates is through the game launcher—just click the ‘Check for Updates’ button.
Or, you can download the Remastered Updates from the store page or by navigating to the File Downloads section under My Page and downloading them from there.
